Driver Arrested in San Antonio DWI Accident on Jones Maltsberger Road near Starcrest Drive

SAN ANTONIO, TX (February 17, 2023) – Tuesday night, a woman and her dog died in a pedestrian crash on Jones Maltsberger Road near Starcrest Drive.

The incident happened at around 7:30 p.m. in the 12100 block of Jones Maltsberger Road near Starcrest Drive.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, a southbound silver 2018 Jeep Wrangler struck a female pedestrian and her dog. Meanwhile, the crash happened as they crossed the roadway outside a marked crosswalk.

Moreover, responding paramedics pronounced the victim and her dog dead at the scene.

Furthermore, authorities arrested the Jeep driver, a 44-year-old man, on suspicion of DWI.

Meanwhile, the fatal crash remained under investigation.
