Woman Dies in State Route 190 Pedestrian Accident [Porterville, CA]

Porterville, CA (July 31, 2021) – On Thursday, a woman dies in State Route 190 pedestrian accident.

The fatal crash took place before 5 a.m., wherein a 43-year-old woman lost her life.

A police officer saw a parked vehicle in the westbound left turn lane of the freeway.

According to the vehicle’s driver, a car struck her 43-year-old daughter seconds earlier.

Minutes laters, the officer found the driver’s daughter in the eastbound lanes and immediately provided her first aid.

Right away, rescuers took the victim to Sierra View Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

Investigating officers said the woman was struck when she exited the car and began crossing the eastbound lanes.

Meanwhile, the involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. 

Alcohol and/or drugs do not seem to be a factor.

This investigation is still ongoing.
