Woman Dies after Pedestrian Crash on East Foothill Boulevard [Fontana, CA]

Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle near Laurel Avenue

FONTANA, CA (September 23, 2018) – A woman was killed Sunday evening following a pedestrian crash on East Foothill Boulevard. The Identity of the victim was not immediately released to the public, pending notification of family members.

According to officers with the Fontana Police Department, the incident took place at about 7:30 PM near Laurel Avenue. The victim had been crossing the street outside of a crosswalk when a vehicle struck her.

The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. Meanwhile, the unidentified driver of the vehicle remained on site and cooperated with investigators. No arrest was mad at the time of the report.

Alcohol and drugs were ruled out as possible contributing factors in the fatal crash, which remains under investigation. No other information has been disclosed at this time.
