Woman Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Van Buren Street [Phoenix, AZ]

Female Pedestrian Killed Hit by a Car in the area of 32nd Street and Van Buren Street

Phoenix, AZ (October 11, 2020) – A 58-year-old woman died on Friday evening after getting involved in a pedestrian accident on Van Buren Street.

Authorities say the woman was trying to cross the street at around 8:15 p.m. in the area of 32nd Street and Van Buren Street.

Moreover, police say the vehicle hit the pedestrian in the middle of the street.

Furthermore, rescuers took the woman to the hospital, however, doctors pronounced her dead.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Police Department says the motorist is cooperative with investigators and stayed at the scene.

Additionally, investigators say that the driver  “did not display signs or symptoms of impairment”.

Lastly, the investigation is still ongoing.
