Woman Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 1 [Salinas, CA]

Salinas Fatal Pedestrian Crash

Salinas, CA (August 15, 2022) – On Sunday, at approximately 6 a.m., a female pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in an accident on Highway 1 near Springfield Road.

The authorities say the victim was walking on the southbound freeway when a 2018 Honda Accord struck her.

The Honda driver stopped his vehicle on the side of the road. However, at least two other vehicles also hit the victim. 

Meanwhile, officers are investigating the fatal accident, They do not believe drugs and alcohol were factors in the Salinas fatal pedestrian crash.
