Woman Dies in Interstate 5 Hit-and-Run Crash [Cottonwood, CA]

Cottonwood, CA (October 5, 2024) – A woman was killed in an Interstate 5 hit-and-run crash early Thursday morning.

CHP officers received reports at 2:24 a.m., about a person down on the southbound highway near Gas Point Road. 

Responding authorities located a woman’s body alongside southbound Interstate 5.

Investigating officers determined it was a hit-and-run case.

In the meantime, the authorities did not provide any details about the vehicle involved in the deadly crash. They are still investigating.
