Kia Passenger Killed in Desert Hot Springs Crash
Desert Hot Springs, CA (July 24, 2021) – On Thursday, a 27-year-old woman lost her life in a head-on crash on North Indian Canyon Drive.
The authorities received the crash report just before 6 p.m., near Mission Lakes Boulevard.
Officers said the 28-year-old Kia driver departed the eastbound roadway and in a bid to correct course, the driver went into the opposing lanes of traffic.
As a result, the Kia crashed head-on with a pickup.
Unfortunately, the female Kia passenger died at the scene.
Rescuers took the Kia driver to an area hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Officers expect him to survive.
Meanwhile, paramedics evaluated the pickup driver at the scene after complaining of pain.
The investigating officers are still working on the case.
