SUV Crashes into Bridge Pillar in Fatal Accident near Interstate 405
BOTHELL, WA (November 18, 2018) – On Saturday evening, a woman died after a car crash on State Route 522. The victim was only identified as a 28-year-old woman by the authorities.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 5:00 PM, near Interstate 405. Based on the report from the troopers, the victim’s SUV went off the road at a high speed, into a grass median and crashed into a pillar of an overpass bridge.
The woman was taken to Harborview Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where she later died due to severe injuries. Her name and place of residence were not yet released pending kin notification. No one else was in the vehicle and no other cars were involved.
Due to impact of the crash, the involved vehicle was totaled. Several of the lanes were closed for hours for a clearing operation. An investigation is ongoing to determine liabilities.
