Woman Dies in Tragic 2-Car Crash Near Hanford Armona Road [Armona, CA]

Armona, CA (December 26, 2024) On Tuesday evening, a female driver was pronounced dead after a horrific 2-car crash near Hanford Armona Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the fatal incident happened at about 7:20 p.m. south of Armond Road and east of 16th Avenue.

Reports say that the tragic Christmas Eve crash in Hanford claimed one life and injured four others.

Authorities say that a Nissan Altima driver was reversing out of a private driveway onto Hanford Armona Road when they collided with a GMC Acadia traveling on the same road.

Emergency responders transported the Nissan driver and the GMC driver, along with three passengers in the GMC, to the hospital. Sadly, the Nissan driver succumbed to their injuries shortly after arrival.

The crash remains under investigation.
