According to Sacramento Police Department, the incident happened at South Watt Avenue and Fruitridge Road.
Reports revealed that a vehicle struck and killed the female victim.
Meanwhile, responders transported the driver of the involved vehicle to a hospital with minor injuries.
Furthermore, authorities closed the roadway in both directions to give way to the investigation.
