1 Killed in Santa Paula Pedestrian Accident on March Street
SANTA PAULA, CA (October 3, 2021) – Friday night, a 79-year-old woman died in a pedestrian crash on March Street in Santa Paula.
According to Santa Paula Police Department, the incident happened at around 7:46 p.m. Moreover, it occurred at the Vista Cove Care Center on the 200 block of March Street.
Reports revealed that a vehicle traveled at a slow speed in the rear parking lot of Vista Cove Care Center. Then, it struck a 79-year-old woman in a wheelchair. The force of the crash knocked the woman out of her wheelchair.
Furthermore, responders transported the victim to Ventura County Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, the vehicle driver involved in the crash remained at the scene.
Moreover, officials do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
