1 Killed in Federal Way Multi-Vehicle Accident
FEDERAL WAY, WA (November 27, 2018) – A woman died following a multi-vehicle accident that led to earlier backups on 6 Freeway near Federal Way on November 24.
It was around 2:35 p.m. when the state troopers and medics came to respond to a report of a serious crash on southbound 5 Freeway just south of the Highway 18 interchange.
When the responders arrived, they located multiple vehicles at the area.
Reports also revealed that a guardrail pinned one vehicle and left a female passenger in her 60s with serious injuries. Despite the lifesaving efforts, the woman was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, the male driver of the car who was also in his 60s was reportedly unharmed.
Due to the crash, the three left lanes were blocked at the area which led to backups.
The collision remains under investigation but it was clarified by Trooper Rick Johnson that the incident does not involve impairments.
