Woman Killed, Man Critically Injured and Arrested after Fairfield Motorcycle Crash
FAIRFIELD, CA (April 2, 2019) — A woman died and a man sustained critical injuries following a motorcycle collision on Wednesday, March 27.
Officials said that the accident occurred just before 9 p.m. on eastbound 80 Freeway just past the 680 Freeway connector.
For undetermined reasons, the man lost control of his Harley Davidson on 80 Freeway and crashed. CHP suspects that he drove at a high rate of speed. Officers arrested him for suspicion of driving under the influence and manslaughter.
The woman reportedly died at the crash site. The man received treatments at an area hospital for his injuries.
Officials are still investigating the incident. Traffic is cleared on 80 Freeway.
The identity of the woman is not immediately available.
