1 Killed in Sonora Motorcycle Accident on Highway 108
SONORA, CA (June 29, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a woman died in a motorcycle crash on Highway 108 in Sonora.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 7:30 a.m. on Highway 108.
Reports revealed that a westbound 2020 Harley Davidson Street Glide attempted to pass a big rig on the left side. Then, it collided with a westbound 2019 Chevrolet Cruse. Afterward, the force of the crash ejected the 57-year-old female motorcyclist into the roadway about 200 feet down an embankment.
Moreover, responders rushed the motorcyclist to Memorial Medical Center where she later died.
Furthermore, the incident closed both directions of Highway 108 but has long since reopened.
Also, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
Meanwhile, the incident remains under investigation.
