Woman Dead, Cruz Diaz Arrested in Intentional Crash on Maze Boulevard [Modesto, CA]

1 Killed and 1 Hospitalized in Modesto Auto Accident on Maze Boulevard

 
MODESTO, CA (June 24, 2021) – Early Wednesday, a woman died and driver Cruz Diaz was arrested after a suspected intentional crash on Maze Boulevard.
 
According to Modesto police, the incident happened in an alley behind A&M Market on Maze Boulevard.
 
Reports revealed that before the crash, the man and the suspect were in an argument. The woman and the man were in a tent when they were run over by a vehicle driven by the suspect.
 
Furthermore, responders transported the 61-years-old woman after being given first aid at the scene. The woman was later pronounced dead from her injuries. Authorities said that the man also sustained injuries in the incident but is expected to survive.
 
Moreover, the suspect, 39-year-old Merced resident Cruz Diaz, was found near the scene.
 
Meanwhile, authorities booked the suspect into Stanislaus County Jail and will be facing homicide charges.
