1 Killed in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident on Union Avenue and 20th Street

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 7, 2021) – Monday night, a woman died in a pedestrian crash on Union Avenue and 20th Street.
 
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the incident happened at about 6:21 p.m. Moreover, it occurred in the 1900 block of Union Avenue and 20th Street.
 
Reports revealed that a vehicle struck a female pedestrian walking in the roadway outside a marked crosswalk.
 
Moreover, responders rushed the victim to a hospital where she later died.
 
Furthermore, the vehicle driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
 
Meanwhile, officials do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Also, the authorities urged anyone with information about the incident to call the Bakersfield Police Department at (661) 327-7111.
