Pedestrian Killed in Hanford Accident on State Route 198 near 13th Avenue
HANFORD, CA (January 10, 2023) – Saturday night, a woman died in a pedestrian crash on State Route 198 near 13th Avenue.
The incident happened at around 6:46 p.m. on westbound Highway 198, east of 13th Avenue in Kings County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a sedan struck a 49-year-old female pedestrian who was walking in the traffic lanes for still unknown reasons. Then, two more unidentified vehicles struck the victim who was already down in the roadway. Also, the 55-year-old female driver of the sedan and the driver of the two other vehicles remained at the scene to wait for the authorities.
Moreover, responding paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Furthermore, officials believe that alcohol played a role in the incident.
