Woman Critical after Car Crash on Highway 67 near Peace Valley Lane [Ramona, CA]

RAMONA, CA (January 20, 2020) – A woman is in critical condition after a car crash on Highway 67 on January 17.
 
The crash between a white work truck and a silver compact car occurred before 8:40 a.m. Authorities stated it occurred on Highway 67 near Peace Valley Lane, CHP Officer Jim Bettencourt revealed.
 
Firefighters came to the scene and rescued a trapped woman in one of the vehicles, Cal Fire San Diego Capt. Issac Sanchez revealed,
 
Meanwhile, responders took the victim to a hospital for treatment of “critical injuries.”
 
Authorities shut down both directions of Highway 67 and the lanes remained blocked as of 9:20 a.m.
 
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
