Chico, CA (February 20, 2024) – On Tuesday morning, a 21-year-old female driver and a 2-year-old girl sustained injuries in a crash on Highway 99.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene to find the truck on its side down the embankment. 

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) identified the driver and noted the injuries, transporting both individuals to Enloe Hospital via ambulance. 

Recovery crews remained on site until 10:25 a.m. when a tow truck successfully recovered and cleared the truck. 

The CHP suspects that an unsafe lane change caused the crash, which occurred around 8 a.m.
