Female Pedestrian Struck and Injured by Vehicle near Park Avenue
VICTORVILLE, CA (October 16, 2018) – A woman was injured late Tuesday morning following a pedestrian crash on Palmdale Road. The identity of the victim was not immediately disclosed to the public.
According to the San Bernardino County firefighters, the incident took place shortly before noon near Park Avenue. A westbound Scion was entering the intersection on a green light when it struck a pedestrian.
The victim suffered unspecified injuries and was transported to the Victor Valley Global Medical Center. She was later airlifted to the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where she is expected to survive. Meanwhile, the Scion driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. No charges have been filed at this time.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
