Woman Seriously Injured in Car Collision on Bautista Road at Highway 371
ANZA, CA (September 17, 2018) – On Monday morning, a woman was trapped in her vehicle and airlifted to a hospital after a two-vehicle car crash on Bautista Road.
911 Callers reported that a woman was trapped inside one of the vehicles involved in the accident, and would need to be rescued from the damaged sedan. Cal Fire/ Riverside County Fire, California Highway Patrol, and other emergency personnel arrived at the scene around 7:00 AM.
Officials found a newer dark blue Chevy crew cab pickup truck and a white Cadillac sedan, both with major front-end damage. An air ambulance and Mercy 3 was requested at the scene due to the severity of the woman’s injuries. She was rushed to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation. According to reports, the female victim was a well-known Anza local and she suffered broken ribs, a broken arm, and other traumatic injuries. Her family stated that the woman is doing well and is expected to go into surgery soon for her broken arm.
Details about the driver of the pickup truck were not immediately released, and CHP has not yet announced any further information regarding this crash. Their investigation is still ongoing at this time.
