Woman in 40s Killed in Babcock Road Pedestrian Accident [San Antonio, TX]

San Antonio, TX (February 26, 2024) – A woman in her 40s was killed following a Babcock Road pedestrian accident late Sunday night.

The authorities responded at around 11 p.m. to the intersection with Medical Drive in the Medical Center area.

Investigating officers said a black sedan struck the woman while she was attempting to cross a street without a crosswalk.

The driver stopped to render aid but the woman died at the crash scene.

The driver told the authorities they did not see the victim until it was too late. 

In the meantime, officers withheld the name of the deceased pending notification to the next of kin.
