Fatal Head-On Crash on Highway 155 in Wofford Heights

 
WOFFORD HEIGHTS, CA (January 29, 2019) – One person was killed following a head-on collision Tuesday morning in the Wofford Heights community.
 
The collision happened around 9:34 a.m. on Highway 155 near the Hungry Gulch Campground, just North of Air Force Way.
 
Authorities said a brown Chevrolet Tahoe and a black Honda collided head-on. Both vehicles were smoking from the impact and were blocking the roadway.
 
One fatality was confirmed and a coroner’s personnel was notified to conduct a full report.
 
Traffic was temporarily blocked, then directed through one lane as crews tended to both vehicles.
 
No identifying information is being released at this time. Police officials are still investigating the cause of the crash and liability.
