Fatality Reported in Sonoma County Accident on Highway 1 near Valley Ford Road
SONOMA COUNTY, CA (April 12, 2021) – Early Sunday morning, one person died in a fiery crash on Highway 1 near Valley Ford Road.
According to California Highway Patrol, at around 11:31 p.m., authorities received a report of a vehicle.
Reports revealed that it had stopped in the middle of the road on Highway 1 at Valley Ford Road, west of Bloomfield.
Furthermore, minutes later after the first report, multiple reports were made about a head-on collision between two pickup trucks. Moreover, one of the vehicles caught fire with people still trapped inside.
Moreover, by 12:48 a.m., authorities reclassified the incident as a fatality from a car fire.
Later reports reveal that police arrested Winter Nason, 25, and Jospeh Mantua, 47, for DUI.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the accident on Highway 1 near Valley Ford Road.
