Willow Sanchez, Daytona Bronas, and Sandra Mizer, Killed in Lucerne Valley Crash
Lucerne Valley, CA (July 08, 2021) – On Saturday, Willow Sanchez, Daytona Bronas, and Sandra Mizer, were killed in a hit-and-run crash on Camp Rock Road.
The accident took place at about 10:19 p.m. north of Rabbit Springs Road.
Apparently, two unidentified people struck four young girls, two of them in wheelchairs. Afterwards, the driver fled into the desert before first responders arrived.
Unfortunately, 11-year-old Sanchez, 12-year-old Bronas, and 13-year-old Mizer died at the scene.
Mizer was recently promoted from eighth grade to Lucerne Valley High School. The promotion ceremony took place May 27. She was to start her freshman year this year.
Moreover, the other two girls were about to set to another year in middle school. One of them, Daytona, was appointed “Child Ambassador” by the Apple Valley Shrine Club in 2019. Similarly, she also represented Lucerne Valley in the Helendale Christmas Parade in 2019.
Meanwhile, Mercy Air took Natalie Coe, the only surviving girl to an intensive care unit at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Natalie was recently promoted to the high school after completing eighth grade.
