Fatal Vehicle and Motorcycle Collision near East Glenn Street
TUCSON, AZ (January 19, 2020) – The authorities confirmed that rider William Woodin died in a motorcycle crash on North Treat Avenue on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Tucson Police Department, the incident happened near East Glenn Street at approximately 2:30 PM.
Reports showed that a 2003 Toyota Echo was going southbound across Glenn Street while Woodin’s 2008 Suzuki XRI motorcycle was reckless driving on Glenn Street when the two collided.
Woodin was not wearing a helmet. Tucson Fire medics responded to the call and administered aid to Woodin, 47. He was transported to Banner University Medical Center, where he died due to severe injuries.
The Toyota’s driver stayed at the accident scene and answered investigators’ questions.
Speed appeared to be a factor in the crash. However, police continued to investigate the case.
