22-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies in Fatal Crash near Sportfisher Drive
OCEANSIDE, CA (January 26, 2020) – The authorities confirmed that William Vaden was arrested after a fatal DUI pedestrian accident on North Coast Highway on Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at approximately 1:00 AM near Sportfisher Drive.
Reports from the Oceanside Police Department showed that the 22-year-old man was struck by a vehicle while walking across the street.
Paramedics found the victim unresponsive. As a result, officials transported him to a hospital. However, he died a short time later.
Vaden, 31, stopped after the accident and waited for the police to arrive. He was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence.
