Officers Search for Vancouver Hit-and-Run Crash Suspect on Northeast Highway 99
Vancouver, WA (January 25, 2022) – On Sunday, 52-year-old William Stevens of Vancouver died in a hit-and-run crash on Northeast Highway 99.
Officers responded to the scene at about 12:55 p.m. at Northeast 88th Circle.
Reports said a person driving a stolen Ford F250 ran a red light and struck a sedan driven by Stevens.
Officers extricated Stevens from the car and took him to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the stolen truck fled from the crash. Witnesses described him as a white man wearing a dark-colored stocking cap, light blue hoodie, dark-colored backpack, and blue jeans.
