As per reports, the accident took place shortly after 11 AM. A Dodge Charger was heading west on Avenue 9 when it struck a southbound Chevrolet Silverado pickup.

The impact caused the pickup to overturn, while the Dodge hit grapevines and caught fire. Three people inside the pickup, identified as 49-year-old Lemoore resident William Morris Siegel Jr , 75-year-old Hanford resident Joe Frank Avila Jr, and 32-year-old Laton resident Taylor Scott Hanning, were pronounced dead at the scene.
