William Marlik Jr Killed in Rear-End Crash on Deer Valley Road [Antioch, CA]

Antioch, CA (October 7, 2023) On Thursday afternoon, 63-year-old William Marlik Jr, of Bay Point died after a rear-end crash on Deer Valley Road.

According to Antioch police, the fatal crash happened around 2:08 p.m. at the intersection of Deer Valley Road and Prewett Ranch Drive.

Reports say that Marlik was on a motorcycle that was stopped at a stop light when a speeding vehicle hit the back of his motorcycle. The impact of the crash ejects Marlik to the ground.

Medics rushed Marlik to the hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital.

Meanwhile, authorities say that the motorcycle and the other vehicle crashed with 2 other vehicles at the crossing.

Authorities say that the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and officials say that the driver’s speed and inattention appear to be the cause of the collision.
