1 Person Killed in El Paso Auto Accident on Interstate 10 and Mile Marker 49

EL PASO, TX (March 11, 2024) – Saturday night, William Diaz died in a horrific two-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 and Mile Marker 49.

The incident happened at around 10:30 p.m. along Interstate 10 at Mile Marker 49.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, two semi-trucks collided in the area for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, officers confirmed that one of the semi drivers, identified as 56-year-old William Diaz, died at the scene.

Furthermore, the crash closed I-10 West for hours but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Sheriff’s Office Special Traffic Investigations team continued to investigate the crash.
