HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA (January 14, 2020) – A man was killed in a head-on crash Tuesday night in Jacoby Creek.
The crash happened around 6:10 p.m. on Highway 101 at Indianola Cutoff.
According to police, a 1991 GMC Jimmy was traveling southbound on Highway 101 and was trying to make a left turn onto the Indianola Cutoff. As it crossed the northbound lanes, a 2019 GMC Yukon, driven by 42-year-old Michael Snorden of Indianapolis, collided head-on with the passenger side of the Jimmy.
The impact caused the Jimmy to overturn. Emergency medical personnel arrived on scene and provided aid to the driver. However, that person succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead. Authorities identified him as 48-year-old William Clymer of Eureka.
Meanwhile, Snorden and his passenger, 34-year-old Donna Rim of Alpharetta, Georgia, were not injured.
