2 Injured in Kansas City Auto Accident on Highway 65 and Mather Road
KANSAS CITY, MO (July 21, 2024) – Friday afternoon, William Anderson & Phillip Staus sustained injuries in a crash on Highway 65.
The incident happened at about 4:45 p.m. on southbound Highway 65 and Mather Road, south of Sedalia.
When first responders arrived, they found a 2013 Ford F-150, driven by Anderson, 59, of Clinton, Missouri, had attempted to pass a slow-moving 2009 John Deere Tractor driven by Staus, 36, of Sedalia, Missouri.
Troopers reported that the pickup truck struck the tractor from behind, causing the tractor to veer off the road and flip over.
Both Staus and Anderson were taken to Bothwell Regional Medical Center in Sedalia with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
