Late Evening Pedestrian Crash on Highway 65 in Wheatland Turns Deadly

 
WHEATLAND, CA (May 17, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle late Friday evening in Wheatland.
 
The crash happened around 11:46 p.m. on Highway 65 at Oakley Lane.
 
First responders located the pedestrian off the roadway. Despite life-saving efforts, the unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The involved vehicle was not described and details of how the crash occurred were not immediately available.
 
Southbound traffic was blocked for the on-scene investigation.
