West Pioneer Avenue Accident Injures Teenage Girls [Puyallup, WA]

Puyallup High School Students Hospitalized in Puyallup Traffic Crash

Puyallup, WA (September 29, 2022) – At about 1 p.m. on Wednesday, two Puyallup High School students sustained injuries in a West Pioneer Avenue accident.

According to the authorities investigating this crash, a vehicle driven by a 19-year-old driver was turning left onto West Pioneer from Fifth Street Southwest. The driver lost control of her vehicle and jumped the curb before it drove onto the sidewalk. 

At the same time, the two students were walking east on the West Pioneer sidewalk. Unfortunately, the driver struck them. 

Immediately, the paramedics responded to the scene and rushed the two teenage girls to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital with non-fatal injuries. 

Officers say the driver did not have any impairments at the time of the accident. 

In the meantime, the authorities are investigating the Puyallup traffic crash.
