Fresno Police Search for Hit-and-Run Driver That Leaves Wendy Coffman Dead
Fresno, CA – On November 9th, Wendy Coffman, 60, lost her life after a hit-and-run crash on Clovis Avenue.
According to Fresno police, the fatal collision happened at about 5:30 p.m. near Inyo Street in southeast Fresno.
Reports say that Fresno police are intensively searching for a hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a woman in a wheelchair on Saturday evening.
Officers responded to Clovis Avenue near Inyo Street in southeast Fresno after receiving reports of the collision.
According to investigators, the woman was attempting to cross Clovis Avenue when a northbound vehicle hit her and fled the scene without stopping. The woman sustained severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Detectives are currently collecting information to identify the suspect vehicle. They believe it was a white pickup truck. Authorities have closed the intersection as they continue their investigation.
