Late Afternoon Head-On Collision in Weaverville Leaves One Injured
WEAVERVILLE, CA (January 26, 2019) – One person was injured following a head-on crash late Saturday afternoon in Weaverville.
The crash happened around 5:31 p.m. near the intersection of Little Browns Creek Road and Highway 299.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a green Honda Civic and a white SUV collided head-on, trapping a male occupant inside one of the vehicles.
An initial log also indicated that one of the drivers sustained internal injuries and a possible broken hip.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and took the injured patient to a hospital for proper treatment.
It is unknown if speed, drugs and/or alcohol have played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
