Waynette Hunter Pronounced Dead after Multi-Vehicle Collision near MacArthur Boulevard in Oakland
OAKLAND, CA (April 28, 2020) – Early Sunday morning, a woman named Waynette Hunter died, while two others sustained injuries in a two-car crash on 98th Avenue.
According to police reports, the crash occurred on April 26 at around 3:36 a.m.
It took place on the 98th Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard intersection.
The police also added that the crash involved a Honda Sedan (in which Hunter was a passenger) and a Nissan van.
The Coroner’s office later identified 29-year-old Hunter as the deceased victim of the crash. Meanwhile, the police had already confirmed that the victim was in her 20s.
In addition, the drivers of both vehicles sustained major injuries. The responding paramedics transported them both to a hospital.
According to the authorities, the drivers were listed in critical but stable condition.
The police officers are still trying to find out which direction the cars travelled in when the crash happened.
