State Trooper Patrol Vehicle Hit by Truck in Marysville
MARYSVILLE, WA (January 29, 2019) – On Tuesday morning, a state trooper’s patrol vehicle was rear-ended on the 5 Freeway.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the incident occurred around 7:30 AM near Highway 528.
As per reports, a Toyota Tacoma rear ended the patrol vehicle on the freeways off-ramp. The trooper was outside his vehicle at the time of the crash, investigating a previous minor collision.
Authorities stated the trooper was not injured in the incident. No other injuries were involved in the accident.
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were considered factors in the crash.
No further details have been released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time.
