60-Year-Old Driver and Dog Dead in Wasco 2-Vehicle Wreck
WASCO, CA (November 21, 2018) – One person was killed following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Wasco, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened a little after 12:00 p.m. at the intersection of Poso Drive and Western Avenue.
CHP officials said that a 1955 Ford pickup truck, driven by a 60-year-old man with a dog, was traveling eastbound on Poso Avenue and making a turn southbound onto Western Avenue. A Chevrolet truck failed to stop at the intersection and collided with the Ford.
Responding paramedics pronounced the Ford driver and his dog dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been yet released pending next of kin notification.
The driver of the Chevrolet was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
It is unknown if charges has been filed and liability has not yet been determined. The incident remains under investigation.
