64-Year-Old Man in Wheelchair Killed in Car Crash on Garden Street
VISALIA, CA (March 27, 2018) – A 64-year-old man in a wheelchair was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon while trying to cross Tulare Avenue.
According to the police, the man in a wheelchair was crossing Tulare Avenue at Garden Street, around 3:15 PM, when he was struck by a 2001 Honda headed east on Tulare. The driver of the car was identified as 65-year-old Jacque Bradshaw of Visalia.
Responding officers and EMS arrived at the scene to find the man lying in the street. He had sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead.
Police are still investigating the crash to determine the exact cause of the fatal incident, but stated that speed and alcohol were not involved in the tragic turn of events. No other information has been released at this time.
