Police Seek Two Drivers after Hit-And-Run Crash on 43rd Avenue in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (February 16, 2022) – Police are currently seeking the two drivers after a fatal hit-and-run crash that happened on January 29 killing 44-year-old Virginia Tarango.

The fatal hit-and-run crash happened on January 29 on 43rd Avenue near Cypress Street.

A witness said Tarango was riding a bike headed north on Cypress Street and struck by a dark-colored sedan or SUV.

She then again hit by a white Chevy Tahoe or Cadillac Escalade.

The two vague vehicle descriptions from witnesses and the lack of surveillance video is currently a challenge for investigators to identify either of the drivers that hit the victim that night.
