Fresno Woman Virginia Quintana Dies in Accident on Highway 99
Fresno, CA (March 12, 2021) – A crash on Highway 99 and Ashlan Avenue left pedestrian Virginia Quintana, 26, dead on Thursday night.
The fatal incident took place on March 11 on Highway 99 and Ashlan Avenue just before 7 p.m.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman was on the highway near Ashlan Avenue when a vehicle hit her.
Due to the impact of the crash, officials pronounced the woman dead. However, there has been no information regarding her identification.
Furthermore, the police believed that the woman was homeless and have been living near the highway.
The incident prompted the temporary closure of two lanes for traffic but has since been reopened.
