Virgilio Sibayan of Waco DIes in I-35 Tragic Crash [Lorena, TX]

Lorena, TX (September 12, 2023) On Saturday evening, 65-year-old Virgilio Sibayan died and 3 others were hurt in a tragic crash on I-35.

According to the Department of Public Safety, the fatal collision happened on Interstate 35 near mile marker 325.

Reports say that Sibayan was a passenger on a GMC Yukon that veered off the highway and collided with a Chevrolet Silverado on the service road, the GMC overturned afterward.

Officials say that Sibayan was pronounced dead at the scene, while 3 other occupants of the GMC suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital.

Authorities say that seatbelts were not used that led to occupants getting thrown out of the vehicle.

DPS is investigating the 2-vehicle collision.
