Santa Maria, CA (February 24, 2024) On Friday afternoon, 3 people were hurt in a brutal traffic crash on Highway 166.

According to the CHP, the head-on collision happened around 2 p.m. near Cottonwood Canyon Road.

Reports say that a medical helicopter was requested to airlift patients injured in the crash.

Medics say that a man and a woman sustained major injuries and were airlifted to Marian Regional Medical Center. Meanwhile, another woman was taken to the hospital via ambulance, she sustained moderate injuries.
