San Diego, CA (July 19, 2024) On Tuesday evening, a person lost their life after a pedestrian crash on Interstate 5.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the fatal crash happened around 11:30 p.m. on the southbound I-5 lanes near Palm Avenue.

Reports say that at least 2 vehicles struck the pedestrian, officials say that the victim’s body was decapitated as a result of the collision.

Authorities say that the drivers involved stayed at the scene.
