According to the Stockton Police Department, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash happened around 6:45 p.m. on March Lane at Venetian Drive.

Reports say that a vehicle struck a 60-year-old man and then fled the scene without stopping to aid the victim.

Authorities arrived at the scene and found the man unresponsive, officials later declared the man dead at the scene.

Officials closed March Lane between Pershing Avenue and Mcgaw Street for investigation.
