Violent 2-Car Crash on Highway 210 Injures 4 People [Excelsior Springs Junction, MO]

Excelsior Springs Junction, MO (October 8, 2024) On Sunday afternoon, 4 people were hurt after a horrific 2-car crash on Highway 210.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the disastrous crash happened at about 5:15 p.m. in Excelsior Springs Junction, a town east of Missouri City and north of the Missouri River.

Reports say that a two-vehicle crash sent two adults and two teenagers to area hospitals.

Officials say that a 16-year-old driver from Belton, Missouri, failed to stop at a stop sign while driving south on N Cl North Highway.

His Chevrolet Malibu collided with a Chevrolet Silverado traveling west on Highway 210, causing both vehicles to veer off the road in opposite directions.

The 16-year-old driver sustained moderate injuries, while his 14-year-old passenger was seriously injured. Both teens, who were wearing seatbelts, were transported to Children’s Mercy Hospital. The 28-year-old Silverado driver was seriously injured, and his 45-year-old passenger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained moderate injuries. Paramedics took them to Liberty Hospital. The Malibu was totaled, and the Silverado suffered extensive damage.
