Person Struck and Killed on Fruit and Dayton Avenues in Fresno
Fresno, CA (May 16, 2021) – On Saturday, Vincente Lopez, 41, died in a pedestrian accident on Dayton Avenue.
The accident took place just after 11:30 near the intersection of Fruit Avenue.
Apparently, a northbound driver headed on Fruit Avenue saw the pedestrian jump out into lanes of traffic.
The driver tried to swerve around the victim, but still fatally struck him.
Unfortunately, the pedestrian died at the scene.
The involved driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Officers have not ruled whether drugs, alcohol, or speed factored in the fatal accident.
Mr. Lopez is reported to have been homeless at the time of his death.

“I think the misconception is that when a loved one passes away, the insurance company and the defendant will automatically admit liability and offer all of the funds available.”
“Insurance companies will try to save money, even if it means not fully compensating a family for the wrongful death of a loved one. When a family retains an attorney immediately, it gives the family time to grieve their loss, and their attorney can start focusing on holding the negligent party accountable,” says Tyler Toomey, a tenured Sweet Lawyers attorney.
