Pickup Truck Rear-Ends Sedan on Highway 99 in Vina, Complaints of Pain Reported
VINA, CA (January 25, 2019) – A man and a woman were hurt following a rear-end crash Friday morning in Vina, CHP officials said.
The crash happened around 11:33 a.m. on Highway 99, a half mile North of South Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white GMC pickup truck rear-ended a white Toyota sedan. Cal Fire responded to the scene and found a 60-year-old man and a woman with complaints of pain to the back and neck.
The impact also caused front-end damage on the pickup truck and rear-end damage on the sedan.
Emergency crews also arrived and took the patient to a hospital for proper treatment. Towing services were requested to remove the damaged vehicles from the crash site.
An initial log indicated that a rollover crash occurred in the area prior to the rear-end collision.
The incident remains under investigation.
